BCG Attorney Search
A law firm seeks a junior litigation associate for its office in Providence, RI. The role involves working within the General Liability, Construction, and Design Professionals Practice Groups, focusing on complex civil matters and trials.
Duties
Assist partners with active litigation caseloads from inception to trial. Interface with clients and insurance professionals. Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial. Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses. Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings. Research legal issues and prepare memoranda. Draft motions and oppositions and argue them at hearings. Assist with negotiating settlements and mediation. Evaluate liability and damages issues and prepare exposure evaluations. Support trial preparation and execution. Maintain accurate and timely time records. Requirements
3+ years of experience in general liability, construction, and/or design professional litigation. Admitted to practice in MA; admission in other New England states preferred. Experience with written discovery and Superior Court Rule 9A motion practice. Capable of independent work and efficient organization. Superior research and writing skills. Ability to multi-task and analyze complex matters. Education
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Certifications
Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts. Skills
