Commercial Litigation Attorney - Remote Flexibility Job Overview:
A Charlotte, NC-based law firm is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its modern and growing legal practice. This position is fully remote for day-to-day work, with occasional in-person requirements in the Charlotte metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive mindset, strong courtroom readiness, and a passion for delivering strategic solutions in complex business disputes. Handle a diverse portfolio of business litigation matters from initiation through resolution Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents Take and defend depositions Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trials as required Independently manage litigation strategies and day-to-day case decisions Collaborate with other attorneys as part of a litigation team Participate in client communication and relationship development Stay current with legal trends and procedural changes impacting North Carolina courts Requirements:
Active license to practice law in North Carolina and good standing Proficiency in civil litigation processes, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and courtroom procedures Based in the greater Charlotte, NC metro area with flexibility to attend in-person proceedings when needed Able to maintain an organized and functional home office environment Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications:
Admission to the North Carolina State Bar (required) Skills:
Excellent legal research and analytical skills Strong written and oral advocacy abilities Confidence with remote work tools and platforms (Mac OS, Zoom, Outlook, Adobe, Microsoft Word) Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a distributed team structure Entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving and case management Job Location:
