A law firm seeks an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its dedicated team in downtown Los Angeles. Review case files, analyzing their value and synthesizing claims. Assist senior attorneys in various legal matters related to employment law. Make court appearances and represent clients in legal proceedings. Write law and motion documents, including briefs and other legal materials. Handle trials and arbitration cases as part of a legal team. Conduct legal research and provide written analysis for ongoing cases. Draft correspondence, demands, and other legal documentation. Interact with clients, providing guidance and case updates. Manage law clerks and paralegals, delegating tasks and overseeing work. Negotiate settlements and case resolutions in the best interest of clients. Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor & Employment Law. Strong research and analytical skills, particularly in employment law claims. Excellent legal writing and communication skills. Well-organized with keen attention to detail. Punctual and reliable with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Comfortable commuting daily to downtown Los Angeles. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications
Licensed to practice law in California (California Bar License required). Skills
Proficient in legal research and case analysis. Strong legal writing and drafting skills. Ability to manage and mentor junior staff, including law clerks and paralegals. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to handle client interactions professionally. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
