Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney for its workers' compensation practice group in Maine and/or New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, research, and litigation skills, and be ready to contribute to a dynamic legal team.
Duties
Conduct file review and legal analysis of workers' compensation claims. Perform extensive legal research and draft client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs. Meet an annual billable requirement of 1950 hours. Represent clients at depositions and hearings before the Workers' Compensation Board. Prepare for trials and attend proceedings. Retain and evaluate expert witnesses. Requirements
2+ years' experience as a practicing attorney. Admitted to practice in Maine and/or New Hampshire. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid research abilities and strong written and oral communication skills. Strong work ethic with the ability to self-manage and work in a team environment. Must respond promptly to email and phone inquiries. Excellent client skills and telephone manner. Education
J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications
Admitted to practice law in Maine and/or New Hampshire. Skills
