Y-Haven provides temporary housing and drug and alcohol treatment to adults in Cuyahoga County who are most in need. Formed in 1993 by the YMCA of Greater Cleveland, Y-Haven has helped thousands recover from addiction, secure permanent housing, and re-build their lives. Y-Haven offers healing and hope.
YMCA OF GREATER CLEVELAND JOB DESCRIPTION Job Grade: 9 Hay Points: 128 Leadership Level: Revision Date: 07/22 Job Title: Bus Driver Department: Y-Haven FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Status: PT Reports to: Operations Director POSITION SUMMARY: The Y-Haven Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transport of program participants. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •The transport of Y-Haven residents to and from Y-Haven and off-site locations in a safe manner. •Clean buses daily. •Report any mechanical issues to supervisor. •Maintain daily travel log. QUALIFICATIONS: Education •High School Diploma or GED. Certification(s) & Requirements: •CPR and First Aid certification and Safety training required within 30 days of hire. •Clean driving record •4 hours in-service training every year •21 years of age or older Technical Skills and Knowledge: •Demonstrate commitment to the mission, cause of the YMCA, and uphold its values and ethics. •Ability to work effectively work with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Definition: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
