Position Summary:
The Wafer Production Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment. This role supports the production of semiconductor wafers by following strict process protocols to ensure high-quality output and optimal equipment performance. Key Responsibilities: Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot semiconductor processing equipment (etch, deposition, photolithography, CMP, etc.)
Perform wafer loading/unloading and maintain proper documentation of process steps and production data
Follow cleanroom protocols and wear proper PPE at all times
Perform in-process inspections using microscopes or metrology tools to ensure product quality
Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of production tools
Identify and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations to Engineering or Maintenance teams
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and other production teams to meet daily output goals
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred
1+ years of experience in a semiconductor, cleanroom, or manufacturing environment preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise procedures
Basic computer skills and experience with data entry or automated systems
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Flexibility to work in a 12-hour shift environment (day/night, rotating shifts, or weekends as needed)
Work Environment:
Cleanroom environment requiring full gowning (bunny suit, gloves, safety glasses)
Exposure to chemicals, high-purity gases, and production noise
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
