Macon, GA, United States Job ID: 153959 Job Family: Laboratory Services Status: Full Time Shift: Day Job Type: Regular Department Name: 12011053139003-Laboratory Job Summary: Performs a variety of laboratory examinations and tests including specialized or experimental procedures assuring rapid and accurate results. Is responsible for all technical aspects in the operation of special chemistry services to include training and competency assessment of lab technical staff. Education: Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university in Medical Technology leading to ASCP certification or equivalent as determined by the Professional Director.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a Hospital laboratory a minimum of 2 years working in Special Chemistry preferred. Certification/License/Registration: Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT, MLS, CLT, CLS) by the Board of Registry as ASCP, AMT, AAB (AAB with 15yrs.experience), NCA, or HHS certification or equivalent.
