Summary The Facility Maintenance and Rail Supervisor oversees the day-to-day maintenance of facility infrastructure and the coordination of rail yard operations to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous support for company production goals. This position is responsible for managing maintenance staff, overseeing repairs and preventative maintenance programs, managing rail yard inventories for loading and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards. Responsibilities Facility Maintenance
Oversee daily facility maintenance operations, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building repairs Supervise facility maintenance / rail team, including scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and ensuring adherence to safety and work quality standards Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment and infrastructure Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized services as needed Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations Rail Operations Supervise and coordinate rail yard activities, including staing, railcar loading, and movement Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize rail operations and minimize delays Monitor and enforce safety protocols for all rail activities, including track inspections and maintenance Liaise with rail service providers and contractors to ensure efficient railcar supply and movement Maintain accurate documentation of rail operations, movements, and compliance with ARR and company regulations
Administrative and Management
Prepare reports and updates on facility maintenance and rail operations for management review Manage departmental budgets, including labor, materials, and contractor expenses Support safety initiatives and ensure adherence to all safety programs and policies Participate in emergency response and disaster recovery planning for facility and rail operations Other duties as assigned
Compensation $74,500 - $84,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection) Skills Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills Required Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance management software Required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required Ability to read and interpret schematics, and technical documents Required Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Required Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constant changing priorities with enthusiasm Required Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance Required Strong knowledge of facility systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and general building maintenance Required Drive both automatic and stick shift vehicles Preferred Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED Required Associates Degree Preferred 6 years of experience in Facility Maintenance Required 7- 9 years of experience in Facility MaintenancePreferred Valid Driver's License Required Physical Requirements Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods Repetitiveuse of hand/graspingproduct, writing, and typing Lift up to 25lbs Carry up to 25lbs Stand/walk Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
