SPAs IT team has an immediate need for a Network Engineer in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities
The Network Engineer will oversee the implementation of network projects across enterprise and classified networks, following change management policies. The role requires staying current with new technologies and involves hands-on engineering, configuration, and maintenance of SPA's networks.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
5+ years experience in network engineering with a bachelors degree or 7+ years experience without a degree.
Hands-on experience with switches, routers, routing protocols (especially BGP), and SDWAN platforms.
Experience with access control lists, firewalls, IPSs, load balancing, VPNs, and security technologies.
Broad understanding of networking principles, theories, and concepts.
Experience with cloud networking, including Azure.
Knowledge of DoD and networking compliance standards (CMMC, RMF, C2C), including DISA STIGs.
Experience configuring network access control solutions like Cisco ISE in secure environments.
Professional Certifications:
Must possess or obtain a DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification and relevant training within 6 months of employment.
Vendor-specific certifications such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or Aruba are required.
Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret clearance or higher required.
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
