Luray, Virginia (zip 22835) - Shenandoah Valley Healthcare Setting:
25-bed Medical/Surgical unit Shifts:
Primarily night shift (6:45pm - 7:15am, 3x12 hour shifts/week); occasional day shifts as needed Hours per Week:
36 guaranteed Weekend/Holiday:
Every other to every third weekend; holiday coverage required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) EMR System:
Epic (required) Dress Code:
Navy blue scrubs Med/Surg RN Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State BLS certification (AHA required) Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience Proficiency with Epic EMR system Flexibility to float to other units as needed Ability to work both night and occasional day shifts Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to a primarily geriatric patient population Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR Float to other hospital units as required Uphold professional nursing standards and facility policies, including dress code
