Representative Duties
- Help lead indoor and/or outdoor recreational activities including special events, playground activities and camps. E
- Assist participants in appropriate recreational activities (i.e. arts and crafts, field trips, sports) and a variety of recreational activities and educational programs. E
- Maintain a variety of records and help write periodic reports. E
- Maintain program equipment in good working order. E
- Ensure facility and grounds are kept neat, clean and litter free. Perform custodial and light maintenance duties. E
- Provide information to the public concerning recreation programs, policies, regulations and schedules; answer participant inquiries in person and over the telephone. E
- Render routine First Aid in case of minor injury and administer CPR as needed. E
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of sixteen (16) years of age.
- Interest in community recreation and/or education programs preferred.
- A combination of experience and training that provides the candidate with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered.
- Valid adult and child CPR and First Aid Certificates preferred. Ability to obtain within thirty (30) days of hire required.
