Position Summary The Executive Director serves as Mercy Vineyard Church’s chief strategic and operational leader, overseeing organizational health, financial systems, HR, and staff management. A naturally strategic, solutions-oriented thinker, the Executive Director will fill the gap between vision and reality. This position partners closely with the Lead Pastor to execute the vision, structure the church for growth, and expand Mercy Vineyard’s impact in the city. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about leading an organization towards success while making a meaningful Godly impact in the Twin Cities.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations
Partner with the Lead Pastor in vision planning and execution, and church-wide strategy
Lead and manage church-wide operational systems, policies, and processes
Oversee HR functions, including staff onboarding, reviews, and culture development
Ensure legal, financial, and risk management best practices
Financial Oversight
Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and Board
Provide financial analysis and reporting to the Lead Pastor and Board
Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors and members, fostering continued support and engagement
Identify additional revenue streams and fundraising opportunities
Staff Development & Leadership
Oversee the management, coaching, and development of staff
Hire and structure staff to best execute the vision, mission, and accomplish goals
Facilitate weekly staff meetings and quarterly staff development days
Champion staff culture, alignment, and performance
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in nonprofit, church, or business operations
Strong organizational, strategic planning, and people management skills
Financial oversight experience
High emotional intelligence and cross-cultural competency
Alignment with Mercy Vineyard’s mission, values, and theology
