General Manager (CRE)
Job Description Summary Responsible for managing the Property Management staff, overseeing a significant property portfolio, and serving as the primary contact for third-party relationships. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Direct, coordinate, and oversee property management operations. Develop and interpret policies and strategies for property management. Lead and support the Property Management team, fostering career development. Monitor budget variances and facilitate recovery processes. Oversee billing processes, including invoice payments and fund disbursements. Manage cash flow and requirements in collaboration with the Property Manager. Prepare reports, budgets, and documents for property owners as per management agreements. Ensure timely collection of management fees and reimbursements. Maintain compliance with contracts and ensure accurate reporting to third-party owners. Address tenant relations issues to ensure satisfaction. Conduct regular property inspections with staff. Oversee construction projects, including contract and invoice approvals. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, codes, and regulations. Key Competencies Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Customer-focused approach Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Leadership capabilities Teamwork and collaboration Effective time management Financial and operational acumen Required Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Experience Minimum of 5+ years in real estate property management or related experience. Additional Qualifications CPM, RPA, or CSM designation preferred. Valid real estate license. Strong knowledge of finance and building operations. Proven leadership and team development skills. Experience in lease and contract negotiations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Work Environment Professional office setting with occasional travel between properties and outdoor conditions. Physical Demands Travel between properties, climbing stairs, operating office machinery, and remaining stationary for extended periods.
