Responsible for managing relationships and generating new mortgage loans from Realtors, referral partners, prospective homebuyers and borrowers. Spends a majority of their time performing outside sales and generating their own new mortgage production. Input customer information into the loan origination system and all other systems (i.e., automated underwriting, contact management, etc.) as deemed necessary. Make recommendations regarding credit decisions on residential mortgages to the underwriting representatives of HLD or of various wholesale funding sources. Monitor loan file throughout the entire process up to and including recordation. Knowledge of and compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations, and the bank's policies and procedures, affecting the employee's job duties and responsibilities that pertain to the Home Loans Division. Minimum Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma required. Experience: 3+ years in the mortgage industry with a solid knowledge of mortgage loans, including qualifying criteria, individual product parameters and applicable regulatory requirements required. (A bachelor’s degree can substitute for 2 years of work experience.) License/Certification: Registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) is required prior to performing any duties of a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO). Valid Driver’s License required and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise indicated. Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications. Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions. Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents. Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.
