To perform administrative support functions for Solid Waste Collections. Job Description

Provides Customer Service to customers via telephone and in-person. This includes providing program information; directing callers; providing technical information; discerning emergency situations; scheduling pickups for disabled citizens; recording complaints from the public and reporting complaints to the designated hauler. Maintains cash funds, accounts, and other financial records. Includes invoicing for services and tracking accounts receivable; tracking transfers from within and outside of the business center; prepares deposits; prepares payment requests; monitors expenditures; advises supervisor on issues; assists with purchase orders; assists in preparing budgets. Maintains Solid Waste Collection web calendars and conference room calendar including coordination of appointments, meetings, scheduled leave. Serve as the backup to the Solid Waste Administrative Specialist III to: Support the Solid Waste Director and the Central County Solid Waste Disposal Complex administrative functions in researching ordinances, statutes and administrative rulings; Maintaining various solid waste library maintenance files, processes and programs. Supports the KSCB program by processing program applications; coordinating event debris collection; ordering and distributing supplies; follow-up documentation after events; and documenting number of volunteers and hours worked. Supports KSCB Sub-Committee activity: Schedule, prepare agendas, attend meetings, prepare minutes and lists of action items, send minutes to members, and any necessary follow-up/communication. Maintains databases and prepares reports for the tracking of participants; disposal tonnages; NPDES; Education Outreach and Annual Litter Index. Research regulatory documents and program information. Supports the annual asset inventory, audits, and submits surplus inventory forms. Assists Solid Waste Collections staff by coordinating the ordering uniforms, office supplies, equipment, etc. Serves as contact person for maintenance and repairs of facilities and equipment. Includes office equipment, phone systems, alarm systems, fire suppression systems, electrical systems, plumbing, building and grounds maintenance. Research products that can be used by staff through various resources. Assists with Human Resources and Procurement for Solid Waste Collections including preparing documents; coordinating interviews; participating in selection committees; drafting specifications, tracking procurement process. Work Hours: Monday Friday, 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m. About You

Minimum Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED with 2 5 years of administrative and computer experience. College course work in Business from an accredited college or university preferred. Related professional certification preferred. NOTE: One-year of college may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Professional Certification; Experience with SharePoint; IFAS, Smartsheet; Formstack; Adobe preferred. Job Competencies: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and process data; ability to communicate effectively and professionally orally and in writing; ability to manage difficult customers/situations; respond to inquiries of a non-routine nature; time management skills; organize and present information; sound independent judgement.
