Overview The Senior Director, Paid Social Marketing role at AEG oversees paid social marketing strategy and execution. Based in the Los Angeles area, this position reports to the SVP of Media & Partnerships and leads digital media strategies at scale for a diverse portfolio of concert divisions, driving planning, execution, and optimization of full funnel performance marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

Own and Lead Paid Social Strategy: Set the strategic direction for paid social marketing across all platforms (Meta, TikTok, X, Snap, Reddit, etc.), ensuring alignment with broader business and brand goals, while evolving the channel’s role in performance and brand marketing.

Drive Scalable Execution and Best Practices: Establish and evolve standards, playbooks, and workflows that streamline campaign development, maintain quality, and improve executional efficiency across all lines of business.

Influence Through Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams across marketing, data science, analytics, creative, ticketing, and product to drive cohesive strategy, unlock insights, and ensure integrated campaign execution that moves the business forward.

Mentor and Lead a High-Performing Team: Inspire and manage a team of paid social buyers; provide strategic guidance, professional development, and performance oversight to support team growth and impact.

Advance Platform Expertise: Stay ahead of social media trends, platform changes, and regulatory considerations. Translate emerging insights into actionable strategies that keep AEG Presents ahead of the curve.

Product and Process Enhancement: Develop product features and implement integrated workflows to streamline campaign management, optimize efficiency, and ensure consistent quality.

Performance Management & Reporting: Lead ongoing campaign reporting and executive performance readouts. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in digital marketing with a strong emphasis on paid social media advertising and execution, including at least 5 years of experience managing and mentoring a team.

In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with all major social media advertising platforms (Meta, TikTok, X/Twitter, Snap), demonstrating a strong understanding of campaign frameworks, audience targeting capabilities, optimization & bidding strategies, creative formats, and measurement.

Extensive experience managing full funnel and conversion-focused campaigns, with a proven track record of achieving key metrics such as CPA, ROAS, and sales revenue targets.

Proven ability to analyze performance marketing data at micro and macro levels, extract actionable insights, and translate those insights into optimized strategies and recommendations.

Highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.

Strong understanding of measurement tracking solutions, incrementality, attribution models and the tools to track, report, analyze results (e.g., Google Tag Manager, pixel implementation, UTM tracking, marketing mix modeling, Meta Advanced Analytics).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and insights to diverse audiences.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with organic social strategy is a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits Payscale:

$135,593 - $213,773

Bonus:

This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
