Information Technology Analyst IV

Solano County is seeking a skilled Information Technology Analyst IV to join the Department of Information Technology (DoIT). This position offers a competitive salary range of $116,584.23 to $141,708.85 annually and is based in Fairfield, CA. The role is full-time and the department is part of the Division of Information Technology Web (DOIT-WEB). The position number is 25-364060-R1. The Information Technology Analyst IV is responsible for planning, designing, customizing, updating, developing, and maintaining assigned application, technology infrastructure components, and related systems. Depending on the class level, the incumbent may also participate as a member or lead a team of application development, infrastructure, or systems support staff. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving system issues, implementing system improvements and upgrades, and providing advanced technical support to system users. The role may involve software development, database administration, security administration, network and server administration, service desk management, and GIS. This classification differs from the Principal Information Technology Analyst job class in that the latter is responsible for a major section, program, or initiative with a high level of independence and responsibility for significant resources. Supervision is received from a Principal Information Technology Analyst or an Information Technology Manager. The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time and part-time regular, limited-term, or extra-help positions as vacancies occur or the need arises. To qualify for this position, candidates must possess an Associate's degree, preferably in information technology or a closely related field. Five years of experience performing progressively responsible software development, or infrastructure management duties and functions are required. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in information technology or management information systems, may substitute for two years of experience. Additional experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the educational requirement. Applicants may also be required to possess a valid California Driver's License, Class C. All licenses, certificates, and registrations must be kept current while employed in this class. A minimum score of 70% is required to continue in the selection process.
