Firearms Permit Supervisor
The County of Hawai`i is seeking a Firearms Permit Supervisor for the Records and Identification Division in Hilo, HI. The salary is $48,648.00 annually. This position is available in both permanent and temporary capacities. The duties include supervising and participating in the review, verification, and processing of firearm permits and registrations, conducting background checks, maintaining records, and performing other related duties. There is an immediate vacancy, and the eligible list may be used for other permanent and temporary vacancies as they arise. Minimum qualification requirements include graduation from high school, four years of clerical experience, two of which must demonstrate familiarity with firearm laws, demonstrated supervisory aptitude, and the ability to carry or possess firearms in accordance with state and federal laws.
