A high-profile Boston based non-profit organization is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its Executive Team. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer
This is a hybrid role and will pay a competitive base salary of $175,000 – $200,000, plus bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the organization’s financial strategy. Partner with leadership to develop the Annual Operating Plan and budget; provide monthly analysis of actual results, financial trends, and forecasts. Continuously improve budgeting processes and financial practices. Analyze and assess new revenue opportunities for strategic alignment and feasibility. Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reporting and analysis. Maintain robust financial controls and reporting systems to achieve organizational goals. Oversee preparation of all financial statements and collaborate with external auditors. Manage preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings; coordinate with tax advisors to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required. CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, including CFO, Finance Director, Controller, or comparable positions. Nonprofit experience preferred. Strong technical accounting background, ideally with experience in public accounting (Big 4 experience a plus).
