About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to provide executive leadership for its human resources function. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader, modernizing and elevating the HR function, and acting as a change agent to champion the unique mission and culture of the institution. Key responsibilities include aligning HR priorities with organizational goals, overseeing comprehensive HR services, and leading the strategic use of HR technology and data analytics. The CHRO will also be expected to balance vision with execution, using technology and innovation to strengthen operations, and to represent the university with external bodies.
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience in large, complex organizations. Fluency with HR technology platforms and data-driven reporting is essential. The ideal candidate will have professional HR certifications, experience engaging with governing boards or system offices, and a proven ability to collaborate with academic leadership. The role requires a hands-on partner who can ensure the effective delivery of core HR services and is comfortable advising at the cabinet level. The CHRO will be a critical campus-facing leader, expected to live within a reasonable commuting distance from the campus and work primarily on-site, with professional flexibility as determined by leadership.
