About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its senior leadership team. The COO will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization's non-academic functions, including financial, administrative, and development areas. This role involves leading initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, partnering with the Board to execute long-term strategic goals, and ensuring the organization's compliance with all relevant laws and best practices. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience. Prior experience in independent schools or mission-driven organizations is strongly preferred. Key responsibilities for the COO at the company include financial management, overseeing day-to-day financial operations, and collaborating with the Board on budgeting and long-term financial planning. The COO will also be involved in human resources, technology, and infrastructure, and will support the Board in development and fundraising activities. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, a proven track record in team leadership, and a high level of integrity and discretion. Experience in fundraising and donor relations is highly desirable. The role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and is committed to the mission and values of the organization.
