About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Legal to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key partner in the business, providing legal support across a wide range of matters, including commercial and contract management, HR legal support, litigation, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, active bar membership in Arizona or eligibility for multi-state practice, and a minimum of 7 years' legal experience with a focus on healthcare regulations, real estate transactions, and corporate governance. The VP, Legal will be expected to have a strong background in contract law, risk management, and litigation oversight, as well as the ability to manage multi-state legal and regulatory challenges in a fast-growing organization.
Key responsibilities for the VP, Legal include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, partnering with HR on employee relations and employment risk matters, and collaborating on litigation strategy. The ideal candidate will have a corporate/in-house background, be nimble and flexible, and have experience in operational, service-oriented businesses. Familiarity with HR law, senior living regulations, and healthcare laws is preferred, as is experience in real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate structuring within the senior living or healthcare industries. The role demands a professional who can provide practical, business-focused legal advice, and who is dedicated to supporting the company's growth while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
