About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all legal affairs, with a strong focus on corporate integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management. The CLO will be responsible for advising the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors, and leading legal strategy in various areas, including risk management, labor and employment, regulatory compliance, contracts, intellectual property, real estate, and mergers and acquisitions. Key responsibilities for the CLO include executive leadership and legal strategy, legal services oversight, corporate governance, and board support, regulatory compliance, and risk management, as well as operational and administrative counsel.
Candidates for the CLO position at the company should have a Juris Doctor degree and be licensed or eligible to practice law in Georgia. A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in healthcare legal matters is required, with a focus on contracts, fraud and abuse, privacy, employment law, litigation, compliance, real estate, and governance. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills, and demonstrate the ability to build trust and communicate effectively.
