Front Desk Supervisor

Position Summary

Our Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of front desk operations to ensure exceptional guest service and smooth daily functioning. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively coordinate with team members and other departments. The position demands flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts, including morning (AM), evening (PM), and overnight audit shifts, to maintain consistent service standards across all hours of operation.

As an Experienced Front Desk Supervisor, you will also welcome our guests, providing a smooth check-in, processing payment, offering local insights, and paying attention to detail that will provide them with a friction-free experience during their stay.

Essential Functions Supervise daily Front Desk operations to ensure efficient and courteous service to all guests. Promote a positive work environment by supporting high productivity, strong team morale, and outstanding guest satisfaction. Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards. Assist the Front Office Manager in training new and existing staff on guest service protocols, hotel systems, brand expectations, and operational procedures. Oversee guest check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards. Provide guests with detailed information about hotel amenities, policies, and local attractions. Manage the hotel's phone system, including transferring calls, taking accurate messages, and directing inquiries appropriately. Handle guestroom reservations, including booking, modifying, and canceling as needed. Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints, coordinating with other departments to meet guest needs. Perform cashier duties, including processing payments and posting miscellaneous charges to guest accounts. Follow hotel safety and security procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and staff; remain familiar with emergency protocols. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Front Office area. Communicate any guest issues, operational concerns, or staff-related matters to the Front Office Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager. Additional Responsibilities

The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work. Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook. Education and Experience

Must have previous hotel front desk experience. Must have previous supervisory experience. Skills and Abilities

Ability to stand for extended periods. Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Skill in maintaining control and composure in challenging situations, demonstrating good judgment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
