Electronic Business Project Manager

The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food is seeking an Electronic Business Project Manager to join our Administrative Services Division. The Electronic Business Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of electronic business initiatives. This role requires a highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual with exceptional communication skills and a proven track record in IT-related project management. The successful candidate will drive projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Responsibilities

Lead and manage all phases of electronic business projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these benchmarks. Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as needed. Supervise a small team of business analysts. Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external vendors. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project status. Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of electronic business solutions. Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in electronic business. Qualifications

Project Management Specific: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project). Communication & Interpersonal: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Supervise subordinate staff effectively. Organizational & Personal Effectiveness: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and work independently. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Preference will be given to applicants with the following: Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT-related project management. Experience with Jira project management software. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. PMP or other relevant project management certification. Managed vendor-involved projects. Experience with SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce). Supplemental Information

State of Utah employees must either reside in Utah or be in the process of relocating to within 30 days of their start date. This position may offer a hybrid of both in-office and remote work. Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
