Job Description
Job Purpose:
Coordinates and organizes all supply chain activities in the production of goods, including sourcing, inventory controls, delivery, supplier performance, and costing of all materials. Departmental Responsibilities: Works with other departments to identify and maintain resources to provide an effective supply chain. Establishes KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the supply chain and suppliers. Establishes and maintains inventory control policies at all sites. Conducts and oversees all cycle counts and physical inventories. Sets inventory levels of supplies and materials at each site to support production while minimizing on-hand inventory. Develops processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 throughout the supply chain. Negotiates prices for materials and deliveries with suppliers, vendors, and shippers. Identifies strategic sources for critical materials to ensure continuous supply through multiple validated sources. Leads business continuity planning related to the supply chain. Provides sourcing, costing, and delivery support during new product development. Supports design changes, product line extensions, and new product launches. Monitors supplier performance using delivery and quality KPIs. Implements and maintains a Supply & Operational Planning process with a balanced supply and demand forecast for 12 months. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and internal/external customers. Proven supervisory and leadership abilities. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office. Experience and Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; however, extensive experience may substitute for formal education. Minimum of 3-5 years in Supply Chain, with experience in strategic sourcing, inventory management, and supporting new product launches.
