Estimator / Project Manager
to join our Livermore office. This role requires strong knowledge of roofing and waterproofing systems, excellent estimating and project management skills, and the ability to foster long-term client and internal relationships. Key Responsibilities:Estimating & Preconstruction
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and estimates for commercial roofing and waterproofing projects. Review drawings, specifications, and addenda to ensure accurate scope coverage. Develop bid proposals, including qualifications, exclusions, and alternates. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing. Lead the pre-bid process, ensuring all documentation and estimates are complete and submitted on time. Project Management
Manage awarded projects from contract through closeout. Oversee job costs, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure profitability. Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure scope execution and quality control. Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and change orders. Prepare and manage submittals, RFIs, permits, and other required project documentation. Track and forecast budgets, reporting project performance to leadership. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards. Client & Business Development
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and trade partners. Support business development by identifying new project opportunities with existing clients. Represent Courtney, Inc. professionally in pre-bid meetings, project meetings, and client presentations. Education & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of commercial roofing/waterproofing experience required. Strong knowledge of estimating, job costing, and project budgeting. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Sage 100 or similar estimating/project software a plus. Proven ability to build relationships and lead project teams. Pay: $100-150k (TOTAL PACKAGE)
