Duties & Responsibilities: Client Intake & Initial Consultations:
Establish rapport and trust with clients, ensuring they feel heard and supported. Document all pertinent facts related to liability, damages, and coverage. Clearly outline the next steps and action items for both clients and the legal team.
Lead thorough investigations to gather vital evidence and assess the full scope of each case. Review insurance coverage and prepare for any necessary litigation or settlement negotiations. Negotiation & Settlement:
Strategically negotiate with adjusters to achieve the maximum settlement value for clients. Prepare for trial when needed, ensuring cases are ready for court proceedings. File lawsuits when necessary and guide clients through the litigation process with transparency and support.
Litigation & Trial Prep:
Draft pleadings and discovery documents for lawsuits. Coordinate trial preparation and strategize for mediation or arbitration when appropriate.
Review and sign off on team-drafted correspondence promptly. Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth, efficient case progression. Requirements: Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with exceptional attention to detail. Comfortable negotiating with insurance adjusters and representing clients in litigation. Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois. Skills: Strong negotiation and advocacy skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Thorough understanding of personal injury law and legal procedures. Ability to manage a large caseload while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
