Job Title: IT Project Manager (Senior/Specialist) CCWIS Master Scheduler - (This is a project position funded through at least 12/31/2029). Location: Thurston County Olympia, Washington (In-Person) Closes: June 23rd, 2025 Salary: $8,113.00 - $10,916.00 Monthly The salary listed above does not include a 3% general wage increase effective July 1st, 2025 Are you a detail-driven scheduling expert passionate about driving complex IT projects to success? We're looking for a Master Scheduler to join our team and take on a pivotal role in managing our project timelines. This position isn't just about schedulingit's a strategic opportunity to provide visibility across the entire project, ensuring alignment and timely execution across all teams. The Opportunity: As our Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System (CCWIS) Master Scheduler, you'll collaborate closely with project managers, technical leads, executive stakeholders, and vendors to create and maintain an integrated master schedule that supports informed decision-making and ensures accountability at every level. You will be the central point of contact for schedule management, risk forecasting, and performance trackingproviding insights that lead to efficient resource allocation and project transparency in support of our mission to "Protect children and strengthen families so they flourish." Some of what you will get to do: Develop the IT project schedule (IMS) using common IT scheduling software Collaborate closely with the team to identify critical path tasks, dependencies, and resource allocations. Coordinate with technical leads to track interdependencies across data center operations, network services, application dev/test environments, and security accreditation timelines. Create a master schedule integration strategy that incorporates multiple teams. Provide an IMS overview and walkthrough presentation for the CCWIS project team upon final approval of the IMS. Provide recommendations to CCWIS Workstream Leads on resolving identified resource issues. Monitor and identify scheduling conflicts and resource constraints, proposing solutions to mitigate risks. Conduct schedule closeout activities, including final updates, milestone validation, and archiving the IMS. Required Qualifications: Seven years of relevant experience in the field of information technology, such as managing projects, consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment, or providing customer/technical support. OR A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, business management, Change Management, information systems, or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or the Council for Higher Education (CHEA) and five (5) years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities. Additional Required Qualifications: Five or more years of experience in project management or schedule management, preferably in a large-scale IT implementation or public sector environment. Experience with managing large IT project schedules. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks. In addition to the requirements above, our ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following: Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification. Experience leading, supervising, managing and directing staff with cross-functional teams and programs. Experience with applying project management processes, tools, and best practices to projects.
