Description
Role:
Soliciting potential borrowers/members for residential real estate loans, developing and maintaining referral networks, and being registered through NMLS. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 50% - Business Development : Develops relationships with LADWP JFB, DWP yards, branches, and community groups. Attends meetings and promotes homeownership. Originates and reviews real estate applications, cross-sells products, and supports sales objectives. Maintains knowledge of secondary market guidelines. 25% - Member Focus : Ensures compliance with service standards, handles member correspondence, resolves inquiries, and provides feedback for service improvement. 20% - Quality of Work : Assists staff, ensures compliance, manages loan files via eFolder and Encompass, and stays updated on products and market changes. 5% - Other duties as assigned Expectations: Meet with prospective members/borrowers. Review and analyze credit and financial data. Ensure complete submission of files with required documents. Determine financing objectives, present products, and follow up on pipelines. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: 2-4 years mortgage lending experience, focus on self-sourced business. Success in prospecting, lead generation, and meeting production goals. Understanding of mortgage origination, processing, underwriting, and funding. Knowledge of lending guidelines and federal regulations. Strong computer skills and familiarity with MS applications. Effective time management and communication skills. Ability to analyze financial data and provide alternatives. High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
