Transit Driver
Safety sensitive position regulated under the Dept. of Transportation. Estimated to work an average of approximately 20 hrs. per week. Transit operations are based on a Monday through Friday and 1/2-day Saturday schedule, closed Sundays. Starting pay $22.9444/hr. Responsible for driving transit vehicles on an assigned route following all applicable regulations and laws; Drives charters within Daviess County when assigned; Provides courteous and timely service to transit and trolley customers; Responsible for maintaining clean vehicles and bus shelters. Qualifications required at time of application: High School Diploma or GED; or minimum 3 months work-related experience as a bus driver or similar position; or equivalent amount of education and experience; Valid Driver's License; Valid CDL, Class B or higher, with P (Passenger) endorsement required after hire; Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs., assist disabled passengers, and perform all other demands of the job satisfactorily; Minimum age 18 TO APPLY: POSTING WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL POSITIONS FILLED.
