Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Contract Prep Cook to join our team at our location on W Cary St. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an eye for detail. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is clean and orderly, and assisting the kitchen staff in various tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and measure ingredients for recipes - Chop vegetables, cut meat, and perform other basic food preparation tasks - Ensure all food items are properly stored and labeled - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen - Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines - Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies - Support kitchen staff with additional tasks as needed
Requirements: - Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety regulations - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Strong organizational and multitasking skills - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities - Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays - High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus
