Project Manager II

Our Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI is looking for a Project Manager to join their growing team! As a Project Manager II, you collaborate with Engineers and Supervisors in planning, budgeting, allocating resources, and providing timely completion of the project. You will also ensure that the project is completed within the set budget and is within the scope. A Day In The Life Technical ability to interpret customer specifications and provide a design which meets all requirements, especially quality and schedule. Responsible for ensuring a quality drawing package is released to manufacturing. Review BOMs, maintain schedules, and review QC forms. Facilitate and lead detailed project meetings and internal discussions. Recognize a need for and champion areas for product and process improvements. Effectively problem solve project issues, make sound decisions, and provide timely customer solutions. Responsible for managing larger volumes of standard projects or a variety of complex, non-standard projects. Assist as appropriate in the development of project estimates and ensures the implementation of strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed business requirements and customer expectations. Mentor others in project management processes, tools, and interpersonal skills to ensure successful project completion. Work safely in and around energized electrical enclosures. Customer visits (travel approximately 10% of the time). What will help you thrive in this role? Bachelors Degree in Engineering related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education/job experience may be considered. Strong Project Management experience in either Industrial or Manufacturing fields. Understanding of Bill of Materials. Experience reading schematics and wiring diagrams preferred. Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proven analytical & problem-solving skills.
