WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH You’ll report to the Sr Director, Global Brand Creative and work daily with peers in Brand Creative, Brand Management, Sports Marketing, Consumer Engagement, Digital Direct, Brand Planning, and Brand Operations. You’ll also collaborate closely with the Brand Creative and Brand teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We seek a Global Brand Creative Senior Principal Designer to lead our Basketball and Catalyst categories. As a key member of the Global Brand Creative team, you'll develop world-class seasonal integrated marketing creative that impacts the brand and business, helping position Converse as an authentic street-style brand for youth. You are a multidisciplinary creative experienced in Art Direction, Graphic Design, Typography, and Spatial Design. You thrive in collaboration with other creatives and marketing teams, delivering emotive and innovative work across platforms. You are a leader and mentor, capable of managing complex projects independently and guiding others through creative processes. You have experience directing creatives, working with writers, strategists, and producers, and participating in strategic discussions. You are detail-oriented, passionate about art and design in Sport and Fashion, and stay updated on trends. You enjoy commissioning external talent, briefing, critiquing work, and expanding your creative network. You are also passionate about new technology and digital storytelling, with a strong understanding of social and commerce platforms. You will implement creative across channels, including photo direction, narrative development, graphic design, communication, moving images, and environmental design. A successful candidate is versed in digital platforms and trends, with an innovative mindset. Respect, proactivity, and appreciation for diversity and equality are essential. A minimum of 10+ years in art direction and/or design, preferably with a focus on consumer brands.

Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.

Strong communication skills, including listening and coaching abilities.

Exceptional design skills: drawing, typography, ideation, color, texture, art direction, visual presentation, and layout.

Ability to apply these skills innovatively to elevate brand standards and understand design processes.

Experience directing photography, illustration, and working with external agencies.

Awareness of current design trends, especially in lifestyle and graphic design.

Technical knowledge of digital and innovative practices.

Ability to distill briefs and showcase your thinking creatively.

Effective collaboration with various functions and external stakeholders, embracing shared workstreams.

Passion for reinventing traditional approaches and challenging the status quo.

Good judgment, decision-making, emotional intelligence, and a growth mindset.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and relationship management.

Passion for sports, sports lifestyle, and related culture.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON Develop seasonal brand product stories for Basketball and Catalyst categories.

Collaborate with Sr Director and Global Creative teams to research talent and create mood boards for seasonal direction.

Innovate in visual and digital storytelling methods.

Create and update seasonal assets, including imagery, copy, and design systems.

Develop seasonal creative briefs and manage asset delivery documentation.

Create visual centers and toolkits translating complex concepts into clear communication and guidance.

Manage multiple agency relationships across projects, maintaining a strong creative voice.

Coordinate with teams across North America, Europe, China, and global partners, working cross-functionally with Innovation, Design, and Consumer Insights.
