Overview The chosen individual for the FBA Prep Center Manager role will spearhead the integration of Lean culture, focusing on problem-solving, Lean process formation, training, visual management, and policy implementation. Working closely with leadership, you'll devise an enhancement strategy that emphasizes safety, lead time reduction, quality enhancement, and cost savings, all aligned with overarching organizational goals.

Manage inbound merchandise check-ins. Inspect products for quality and ensure they adhere to our standards. Prepare and label products in accordance with required guidelines. Dispatch products to various fulfillment centers nationwide. Define and achieve productivity goals by analyzing forecasts, gauging productivity needs, and collaborating with peers for workload distribution. Actively mentor and lead your team. Spearhead significant projects. Collaborate with supporting teams to accomplish business objectives. Oversee safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery commitments. Implement Lean standards including visual management, 5S, and daily oversight. Promote Kaizen events to enhance product flow and optimize inventory cycles. Host Kaizen sessions and value stream mapping to identify and address process inefficiencies. Structure standardized instructions and process flow diagrams. Apply Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Direct teams through structured problem-solving steps. Drive innovation and entrepreneurial approaches. Lean Culture

Facilitate training sessions to impart Lean principles to the team. Educate and mentor staff about Lean principles and their applications. Pinpoint and drive process improvement initiatives to support customer demands. Job Elements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks like pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching. Comfort with standing/walking for up to 12-hour shifts. Work in varied noise levels, including loud environments. Adaptability to different temperatures and external weather conditions. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Proficiency in [relevant platform]. At least three years of experience in Lean management. Minimum three years of hands-on management experience, inclusive of performance tracking. Desired Experience and Characteristics

Expertise in Lean processes, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Demonstrated success in exceeding departmental goals. Degree in engineering, operations, supply chain/logistics, or a related field. Competence in managing multiple projects concurrently. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or an equivalent quality system. Familiarity with TPM, Kaizen tools, and methods like Poka-yoke, setup reduction, and Kanban. Experience in Cycle-Time Improvement. Skilled in facilitation, organization, and waste reduction. Previous work with Toyota Production System or similar Continuous Improvement methodologies. Ability to motivate and instigate change across the organization. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels. Passionate drive for continual enhancement. Six Sigma Green/Black belt qualification or an equivalent quality certification.
