Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Paul House & Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and experienced
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
to support our nursing leadership team in delivering exceptional care in our Skilled Nursing Facility. This key leadership role works alongside the Director of Nursing (DON) to uphold clinical standards, support nursing staff, and promote a positive and efficient care environment. Position Summary:
As ADON, you will help coordinate and manage the nursing department’s daily functions, ensuring that all policies and procedures comply with state and federal regulations. The right candidate will be a licensed RN with a strong foundation in long-term care, exceptional leadership abilities, and a passion for quality patient care. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the DON in setting departmental goals and enforcing clinical standards
Oversee nursing staff and ensure quality patient care practices are followed
Organize and supervise admissions, discharges, and daily care routines
Help implement and monitor compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations
Participate in quality assurance initiatives and resident care planning
Manage and monitor departmental budgeting and spending
Address and resolve resident and staffing concerns in a timely manner
Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory reports
Support staff education and training efforts
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across departments
Qualifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
CPR certification required
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a SNF or long-term care setting
Strong knowledge of nursing home compliance standards and healthcare best practices
Familiarity with budgeting, staffing, and employee development
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
