What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Manage litigated claims, including auto and homeowner's claims, through conclusion and trial - Analyze claims and create comprehensive discovery plans for various claim complexities - Interact with defense counsel to provide direction and settlement authority - Review liability, damages, coverage, and risk to assess for settlement authority - Monitor and authorize budgets for outside counsel and analyze defense expenses
What is Required (Qualifications): - 6-7 years of claims experience with a minimum of 2-4 years in a Senior Casualty role or equivalent - At least 1 year of litigation experience - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills - Proficient oral and written communication skills - High School Diploma/GED or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a casualty claims role within the P&C insurance industry
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - BA/BS in business, insurance, or a related area - Bilingual proficiency - Experience in shaping company culture through employee resource groups or mentoring - Willingness to travel as needed for role-related meetings - Demonstrates a company ownership mindset beyond their own area
