The objective of this role is to provide support and service to leadership; provide first-class service to all internal clients; and provide guidance related to employee relations, risk management, payroll, benefits, and more. This role will be engaged in strategic planning and change management to help establish and maintain a best-in-class Payroll department and foster an 'Employer of Choice' workplace. Position Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Payroll Manager, the incumbent manages and maintains all personnel information via ADP and Workday and provides support directly to the payroll team and other internal teams. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Run payroll in ADP. Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions. Generate financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes. Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software such as ADP, Workday, and timekeeping systems. Provide support to internal and external business units for payroll and payroll inquiries, responding efficiently and resolving concerns. Assist in creating policies and procedures between HR and Payroll to improve efficiency. Record data of employee transfers and changes affecting net wages, such as exemptions and insurance coverage, in ADP and Workday. Achieve departmental and company objectives assigned by leadership within designated timelines. Handle confidential employee information and external requests involving sensitive data. Provide reporting and support for EEO compliance, Workers’ compensation, unemployment, and labor law requirements. Partner with leadership and operations on risk management, safety, and worker compensation. Perform other duties as needed based on business requirements. CANDIDATE SKILLS :
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Ability to analyze written and situational information to make sound decisions or recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a consultative approach and active listening. Fundamental understanding of payroll practices. Ability to work with multiple HRIS systems such as ADP Payroll, Workday HCM, and Etime Time Tracking System. Team player demonstrating resourcefulness, initiative, results-orientation, and a focus on service delivery. Results-oriented with effective project management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree with 4 years’ experience or a high school diploma/GED with at least 8 years of progressive experience in HR/payroll roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint); experience with Workday HCM, ADP Payroll, and Kronos eTime preferred.
