Overview
The RIA Services Director serves as a strategic partner to the RIA Blueprint Community Leader in shaping and executing initiatives that enhance the RIA Blueprint customer journey. This role is instrumental in delivering a seamless, engaging, and value-driven experience for financial professionals and their clients.

Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Platform Development
Collaborate on the development and execution of strategies for Cetera’s RIA Blueprint offering, including value proposition, target market definition, product requirements, internal performance tracking, and pricing models.
Lead the formulation of a competitive pricing strategy that balances market positioning with margin protection and platform growth.
Advisor Engagement & Sales Enablement
Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the RIA Blueprint platform, supporting the RIA Channel and recruiting teams throughout the sales process.
Discovery: Assess advisor fit and align needs with appropriate Cetera Wealth Hub solutions.
Education: Conduct consultative discussions on RIA industry trends, benefits of RIA ownership, and key trade-offs.
Solutions: Recommend tailored Cetera solutions based on advisor goals and business models.
Utilize advisor insights and market intelligence to inform and refine strategic priorities.
Go-to-Market Strategy & Growth Initiatives
Partner with the RIA Blueprint Community Leader to develop and execute a comprehensive recruiting and go-to-market strategy.
Define target advisor profiles and align marketing and sales messaging accordingly.
Prioritize and implement growth strategies to drive platform adoption and sales.
Provide strategic guidance on resource allocation to support key initiatives.
Design tools, resources, and advisor-facing materials to support the sales lifecycle.
Internal Enablement & Education
Lead cross-departmental training initiatives to elevate organizational understanding of the RIA industry, the RIA Blueprint platform, and the advisor segments served.
Develop and maintain internal reporting on the opportunity pipeline and provide training to support its effective use.
Platform Strategy & Roadmap Development
Influence the strategic roadmap for RIA Blueprint by identifying and advocating for platform enhancements that drive scalability and advisor satisfaction.
Evaluate and prioritize initiatives based on impact and feasibility.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve the advisor experience.
Post-Sales Support & Relationship Management
Transition advisor relationships to dedicated relationship managers post-sale, while remaining a point of escalation for complex issues.
Support the RIA Channel in shaping marketing strategies and roadmaps for complementary offerings.
Required Experience and Skills
7+ years of experience within the RIA space or wealth management platforms.
3+ years in a leadership or strategic planning role, ideally involving platform development or advisor services.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Deep understanding of the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) industry, including business models, regulatory environment, and market trends.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive platform growth and advisor engagement.
Strong analytical skills with experience in pricing strategy, performance tracking, and market segmentation.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead consultative discussions and influence cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated success in sales enablement, go-to-market strategy, and advisor recruiting.
Ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across departments to deliver results.
Proficiency in CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Compensation Range The base annual salary range for this role is $151,000 to $201,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base annual salary depends on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location. Base annual salary may also differ significantly due to geography and cost of labor considerations.
