Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions by gathering and analyzing requirements, improving processes, and delivering data-driven insights. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams. Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Engage with stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenges. Document business needs in clear formats such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), use cases, and user stories. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.

Process Analysis & Improvement

Evaluate current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement. Develop process models and recommend improvements to optimize workflows and increase operational efficiency.

Data Analysis

Collect, analyze, and interpret business data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights. Use data to support strategic decision-making and propose actionable solutions.

Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, developers, and business stakeholders. Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and compelling manner.

Problem-Solving

Identify root causes of business issues and develop innovative solutions. Evaluate alternatives and recommend the most effective course of action.

Documentation

Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, process flows, and project deliverables. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred). 7+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role. Strong proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, SWOT, gap analysis). Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills

Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA). Experience in Agile and Waterfall project environments. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence). The annual salary for this position is between $70,000 - $130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Benefits
