New Hike Leader Seminar - Mountaineers Seattle Program Center

Seminar covers Mountaineers hiking classifications, posting hikes on the website, screening hike participants, responsibilities of hike leaders before, during, and after the hike; ensuring a safe and enjoyable hike. There will be a short lecture, small group work, and discussion of real-life scenarios encountered by hike leaders. A collection of reference materials for use by new hike leaders is available on the Seattle Hiking Committee section of the Club website. Participants are encouraged to review these documents before the seminar. Meeting place and time
