A company in the environmental services space is seeking a
Senior Data Scientist
to join a high-impact analytics team driving innovation in operations, logistics, and decision science. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving real-world business challenges using advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and optimization techniques. What Youll Do
Design and implement statistical and machine learning models to support optimization of operations (e.g., logistics, routing, scheduling). Lead time-series, causal inference, and hypothesis-driven analysis to extract actionable insights across business units. Develop experimental frameworks (DOE) and interpret results to guide business strategies. Explore internal and external datasets for new opportunities in cost reduction and operational efficiency. Build and deploy models in cloud environments (e.g., AWS) that drive business value. Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Mentor and support other analysts/data scientists in best practices and technical execution. Tools & Tech
Python for statistical modeling and machine learning SQL for data querying and transformation Power BI and Excel for visualization and reporting Cloud platforms (especially AWS) for scalable deployment Gurobi, CPLEX, OR-Tools, Pyomo, etc for optimization You Bring
Bachelors degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related analytical field (Masters preferred). 5+ years of experience building statistical models and machine learning pipelines with large datasets. Deep knowledge of multivariate regression, clustering, decision trees, and optimization modeling (e.g., route/fleet/staffing). Experience leading full-lifecycle data science projectsfrom exploration to deployment. Prior mentorship or leadership of technical contributors. Exposure to logistics, fleet management, or supply chain analytics is a strong plus. Location

$110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
