Established mechanical, electrical and plumbing design engineering firm located in Ronkonkoma, New York is seeking a motivated and organized electrical engineer with a minimum of 5 years of building system design and project management experience in the Downstate NY/NYC commercial sector.
Project management skills, excellent communication and technical writing skills, field experience, AutoCAD drafting experience and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency a must.

Responsibilities
Electrical load calculations. National Electrical Code (NFPA 70). New York State and New York City Building Codes. Life safety fire alarm design (NFPA 72). Field surveying to ascertain existing conditions. Meet with clients to develop scope. Select electrical and fire alarm equipment. Design electrical and fire alarm systems. Prepare design drawings and specifications. Coordinate architectural and engineering disciplines. Construction Administration Services: attend bid walks, respond to RFIs, review contractor bids for client, approve contractor shop drawings and submittals, attend construction site meetings, punch out projects and prepare punch lists of construction deficiencies. Qualifications
