is working with a long-standing client in the Fairfield County area who is seeking their next Vice President, Treasurer is responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the company’s treasury operations. This role oversees capital structure, liquidity management, debt issuance, risk management, and banking relationships. The VP, Treasurer plays a critical role in supporting corporate growth, optimizing the capital strategy, and ensuring long-term financial stability.

Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

Capital Strategy & Liquidity Management:

Develop and execute strategies for optimal capital structure and liquidity management.

Ensure adequate funding and cash flow to support business operations and strategic initiatives.

Monitor and forecast global cash flow, working capital needs, and financial exposure.

Debt & Investment Management:

Lead debt issuance, refinancing, and repayment strategies to support growth and minimize cost of capital.

Manage investment of excess cash in alignment with risk, return, and liquidity goals.

Risk Management:

Oversee foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity risk management strategies.

Develop and implement appropriate hedging policies and practices.

Banking & Treasury Operations:

Manage global banking relationships, negotiate terms, and maintain service level performance.

Oversee day-to-day treasury operations, including cash management, bank account structures, and treasury systems.

Governance & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards.

Develop treasury policies and procedures and promote financial best practices across the organization.

Leadership & Collaboration:

Lead and develop a high-performing treasury team.

Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, and Business Units to support corporate strategy and initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.

10+ years of progressive treasury experience, including leadership roles.

Demonstrated expertise in capital markets, corporate finance, liquidity planning, and risk management.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.

Experience with treasury management systems and financial modeling tools.

Preferred Attributes

Experience in a multinational corporation or complex organizational environment.

Proven track record in leading transformation or optimization initiatives within treasury.

Deep understanding of global banking and regulatory environments.
