Overview
Director, Workforce Engagement (Labor Relations) at Electronic Arts (EA). This role reports to the Global Head of Workforce Engagement and works closely with partners across the company to develop strategies and lead initiatives that promote positive employee experiences while ensuring compliance with local labor requirements in North America. This is a hybrid role requiring three days a week in the office and is based in one of the following locations: Redwood City, Los Angeles - Dey Rey, Austin, or Orlando. Some travel is required. Responsibilities
Work with local partners to develop and implement country and region-specific labor strategies in support of our desired workplace culture and in compliance with local laws. Continuously assess the external employment and labor landscape across the region and identify potential impact to EA's business and talent strategies. Work across various levels of the organization to influence programs, practices, and organizational adjustments that preserve and enhance positive workforce relations. Partner with senior leaders and internal/external counsel to represent EA's interests in labor contract negotiations as needed. Advise senior leadership regarding sensitive workforce matters. Identify and implement solutions to mitigate risks to positive workforce engagement. Support multi-level training programs designed to ensure positive workforce engagement and ongoing compliance to local labor laws and best practices. Implement processes to respond to time-sensitive workforce engagement matters. Monitor applicable CBAs (Collective Bargaining Agreements) to ensure ongoing compliance with terms and remediation of any identified risks. Manage a growing team. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field; Advanced degree in Law, HR or Employee/Labor Relations a positive. 8+ years in Employee Relations or related roles directly reacting to and managing complex employee relations issues or advising corporate clients about employment policies and programs. Experience building and auditing corporate procedures with an employee experience mindset. Excellent written and engagement skills. Experience working with employees and managers in a global matrixed organization to resolve issues and perform root cause analysis. Experience advising and working with partners at all levels of seniority. Experience with North American labor and employment laws. Can deal with complex issues while maintaining composure. Experienced advocate who uses good reasoning. Experienced in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and making recommendations based on people-related data. Experience in tech, entertainment or gaming industries preferred. Compensation And Benefits
