We are seeking a highly motivated IT Infrastructure Team Lead to oversee and enhance our IT systems across multiple locations. This role reports to the IT Director and demands a heavily hands-on, self-starting professional who can quickly take ownership, drive critical initiatives, and lead a small team. They must be familiar with working in a fast-paced environment, and balancing cloud-first strategies with existing on-premises infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Assess the existing IT infrastructure across all sites and provide actionable recommendations for solutions to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust IT systems, including firewalls, switches, servers (Hyper-V and VMware), 365 tenants, active directory, and security frameworks, in alignment with corporate IT guidelines.
Actively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with the team.
Develop and execute infrastructure strategies with a cloud-first approach while maintaining and optimizing on-premises systems to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency.
Mentor and guide team members and consultants, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Document processes and progress while maintaining a hands-on approach to implementation and problem-solving.
Collaborate with corporate IT to ensure compliance with organizational standards and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, with expertise in firewalls, switches, VLAN’s, Hyper-V, VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and security best practices.
Strong understanding of both cloud-first architecture and on-premises infrastructure management.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Experience working with teams, including external consultants, with the ability to provide guidance and foster collaboration.
Highly self-motivated and independent, with a proven ability to take initiative and deliver results with minimal guidance.
Hands-on approach, willing to dive into technical tasks and lead by example.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with corporate IT directives.
Preferred Skills
Experience with multi-site IT infrastructure management.
Familiarity with industry standard security protocols and compliance requirements.
Prior experience coordinating with consultants or cross-functional teams.
