Description This position is with
Highbury Defense Group, an Accelint company . Accelint is dedicated to delivering mission-critical technology and defense solutions that accelerate innovation, readiness, and national security outcomes. Travel may be required to customer and subcontractor sites as well as other office locations.
Responsibilities Highbury Defense Group seeks a motivated cyber security engineer to assist in the design and integration of a centralized system for Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) that helps organizations detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents in real-time.
Required Qualifications
5-7 years hands-on experience in planning, organizing, completing, and presenting assessments of National Security/Cybersecurity concepts, analyses, studies, and procedures.
Thorough understanding of DoD Computer Network Defense policy and requirements; familiarity with boundary defense tools and processes (e.g., network scanners; vulnerability mitigation; remediation; risk management).
Coordinate, observe and report on vendor integration events, CONUS and OCONUS.
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills to customers.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to achieve consensus in resolving problems across the acquisition life cycle with stakeholders.
Experience with Foreign Military Sales programs is highly desired.
Minimum B.S. in Computer or Electrical Engineering or related field (e.g., Network Engineer).
Technical Proficiencies
In-depth knowledge and expertise in designing, engineering, integrating, and installing cybersecurity products, ensuring protection against evolving threats; proficiency in SIEM integration with third-party security monitoring tools.
Experience integrating SIEM with third-party security monitoring tools for centralized data analysis, threat detection, and response.
Network Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDPS): hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Firepower, or Trellix NX.
Firewall Security & Management: configuring, maintaining, and optimizing firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, etc.).
Vulnerability Assessment & Management: using Tenable Nessus, Tenable.sc, or similar scanners to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
Wireshark: packet analysis and network troubleshooting.
Network Taps (Copper and Fiber): deployment of network taps for copper and fiber networks.
Ability to integrate across a wide variety of hardware/software components (e.g., HP/Dell servers, Unix/Linux, Windows Server).
Desired Qualifications
CASP or CISSP is highly desired (even if in process).
Security Clearance This position requires active U.S. national security clearance and the ability to obtain one. Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and able to complete the investigation process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout employment.

Salary Range $100,000 - $120,000. The listed pay range reflects the broad minimum to maximum for the location posted and is not a guarantee of compensation.
