Workers Compensation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney in Hartford, CT. The role involves representing clients in courtroom hearings and arguing cases before the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong communication and organizational skills.

Duties

• Represent clients in courtroom hearings and before the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission.
• Manage a caseload independently, ensuring all deadlines and court requirements are met.
• Review medical records and employment documentation to develop case strategies.
• Provide clients with regular updates and strategic legal advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex claims and legal updates.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice in Connecticut and in good standing with the state bar.
• 1-5 years of experience in workers' compensation claims and/or insurance defense.
• Comfortable in a courtroom setting, with the ability to argue cases independently.
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Connecticut.
