Litigation Associate

Overview A prestigious Am Law and Chambers-ranked firm is seeking an experienced associate to join its Commercial Litigation Practice Group in New York. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of business litigation experience and a demonstrated ability to manage complex disputes in both state and federal courts.

Responsibilities

Manage complex business litigation disputes in state and federal courts, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting written and document discovery, and performing trial preparation.

Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and argue motions with strong legal writing and oral advocacy.

Assist with settlement negotiations; trial preparation and related activities are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and active member of the New York Bar.

At least three years of business/commercial litigation experience.

Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills; hands-on experience with written and document discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, taking and defending depositions, and preparing witnesses.
