Our client, a rapidly growing insurance firm, is looking for a Total Rewards Analyst to join their team.
Position Overview This role is responsible for supporting compensation and benefits programs through data analysis, benchmarking, and process management. The position ensures that total rewards programs remain competitive, cost-effective, and compliant, while aligning with broader business objectives. The work involves close collaboration with HR, payroll, and cross-functional partners to drive effective decision-making and enhance the overall employee experience.
Hybrid - Chicago, IL (3 days onsite per week)
Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities Compensation
Partner with HR leadership to provide reporting and insights that inform pay decisions and overall rewards strategies.
Develop and maintain compensation models, dashboards, and cost analyses to guide workforce planning and budgeting.
Support annual compensation programs, including salary reviews, bonus calculations, and merit cycles.
Manage and analyze compensation surveys, ensuring internal roles remain aligned with market benchmarks.
Evaluate new and existing positions to maintain equity and competitiveness.
Oversee budget tracking, workflow optimization, and project management for reward-related initiatives.
Audit and monitor employee benefit deductions across health, welfare, retirement, and voluntary programs.
Perform reconciliations between HRIS, payroll, and benefit administration systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist with open enrollment, new hire processing, and life event changes, including any retroactive adjustments.
Partner with vendors and third-party administrators to validate funding and remittance reporting.
Support compliance reporting and audits, such as ACA and 5500 filings.
Recommend improvements to benefit processes, systems, and reporting for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities
Conduct data audits to ensure integrity across HR systems.
Draft, update, and maintain standard operating procedures and related documentation.
Produce reports in clear, actionable formats to support HR leaders and stakeholders.
Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and Operations teams to resolve compensation or benefits discrepancies.
Manage projects related to compensation and benefits, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related analytical field.
Minimum 4+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or a combination of HR specialties.
Strong analytical and data management skills with attention to detail.
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Comfortable working on-site in a hybrid capacity (minimum three days in office).
Preferred Skills
Proven ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
Experience managing projects and navigating ambiguity.
Strong organizational skills and a results-driven mindset.
Team-oriented, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
